New Project Alert: Amuru, Uganda

Empowering women in northern Uganda.

Why We Chose Amuru, Northern Uganda

The Boon Project has deep roots in Uganda, and our choice to launch this new women's empowerment project in Amuru, Northern Uganda, is a continuation of a long-standing relationship with two remarkable individuals, Judah and Rachel Kikawa. Born and raised in Uganda, Judah grew up in the Kampala Slums. Over the years, Judah has been an invaluable part of our team, serving as our trip coordinator and managing all 'boots on the ground' logistics—scheduling meetings, arranging transportation, acting as a translator, and much more.

Judah and Rachel have recently felt called to launch their ministry, Mugabi Miracles, in Amuru. Their vision is to plant a church, build a school, and serve the unreached population in Amuru, one of the most impoverished areas in Northern Uganda. Understanding the critical needs of this community, Boon has decided to partner with Judah and Rachel in their mission.

Through this partnership with Mugabi Miracles, we are launching agriculture programs that will do more than just provide access to nutritious food. These programs will also create agriculture-based businesses, offering jobs and income-earning opportunities for the people of Amuru. We believe this initiative will not only uplift individuals and families but will also strengthen the entire community, creating a sustainable path out of poverty.

Our commitment to Amuru is driven by our relationship with Judah and Rachel and our shared vision of transforming lives through faith, education, and sustainable agriculture. We are excited to see the impact of this partnership and to continue working alongside Mugabi Miracles to bring hope and opportunity to Amuru.

As we continue to support the incredible work of Judah and Rachel through Mugabi Miracles, we invite you to connect with and support their mission to plant a church and empower the Amuru communities, who have endured decades of conflict and bloodshed. Your support can bring hope and show these communities how deeply they are loved.

Thank you for being part of this journey of faith, hope, and transformation.
